Privacy Policy
Tallydown has no account and no server. Your FSA plan, expenses and receipts stay on your iPhone, and the developer never receives them.
This policy covers the Tallydown app for iPhone and this website. "We" means the developer, José María Márquez.
What stays on your iPhone
Everything you enter is stored only on your device:
- Your plan: balance, plan year dates and plan type.
- Your expenses: amounts, categories, dates and notes.
- Receipt photos you attach. They are stored with iOS's strongest file protection and left out of device backups.
- Your checklist, your spending plan and next year's contribution estimate.
- Your settings, such as which reminders are on.
The Tallydown widgets read a short summary (deadline, money at risk, next step) from a storage area on your iPhone that only the app and its own widgets can open.
Apart from receipt photos, this data is included in your iPhone's own backups (iCloud or computer), as it is for any app. Those backups are controlled by you and Apple, not by us.
What we collect
Nothing. Tallydown has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It doesn't use your location, your contacts or your health data. We don't sell or share data, because we don't have any.
Features that use your iPhone
Spending plan
The spending plan is written on your iPhone, by Apple Intelligence when your device supports it, or by Tallydown's built-in rules. Your plan and expenses are not sent anywhere to make it.
Camera and photos
Tallydown asks for the camera only when you choose to photograph a receipt. When you pick a receipt from your library, iOS shares only the photo you pick.
Calendar
"Add to Calendar" opens Apple's event editor with the step filled in. You decide whether to save it, and Tallydown doesn't read your calendar.
Reminders
Reminders are notifications scheduled on your iPhone. No reminder goes through a server.
Purchases
Tallydown Pro is a one-time purchase made through Apple. Apple handles the payment; we never see your name, Apple ID or card.
To confirm that you own Pro, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase-validation service. RevenueCat receives your purchase history and a random, anonymous ID created by the app. That ID isn't linked to your name, email or Apple ID. RevenueCat uses it to validate purchases, to prevent fraud, and to show us anonymous sales totals.
Your choices
- Edit or delete any expense or receipt in the app at any time.
- Turn reminders off in Settings, or in iOS Settings → Notifications.
- Delete the app to delete all of its data from your iPhone. A purchase of Pro stays with your Apple ID and can be restored from Settings → Restore purchase.
Children
Tallydown is meant for adults with a workplace Flexible Spending Account and is not directed at children under 13.
This website
This site has no cookies and no analytics. It is served by Cloudflare Workers, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security. All fonts and images are served from this site; no third-party services are loaded.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change affects what leaves your iPhone, the app will tell you before it applies.
